How do you keep a dying romance alive?

Perhaps it was inevitable, as though you’re so up there that there’s really no other way but to go down.

Familiarity and routine have left no more room for mystery, and has made me think as though there’s nothing more left to discover.

The touch has been memorized, every hug has its constant pressure, and the kisses are fast losing its magic. The stars have become just that – stellar bodies, no longer a sparkle in the eyes.

I see romance in movies, and hear them in love songs, there’s none to be found in my own life. And with each day that passes we grow apart.

And I’m completely at lost of what to do.

I long for the butterflies, the goosebump-causing touch, that once more searing kiss.

Perhaps I ask too much.

I love this man with all my heart. But how do you make him understand that more than the warmth of a steady comfort, there should be more room for fire?

Or am I really just being a girl?
